Fees & Policies

Swallow and Speech Clinic is an independent private Speech-Language Therapy service based in Nelson. As the clinic is not government funded, fees apply for all appointments unless funding has been approved through ACC or another agency.

Standard Fees

Initial specialist assessment: $250 + GST (up to 90 minutes)

Follow-up therapy session: $175 + GST (up to 60 minutes)

Follow-up therapy session: $115 + GST (up to 30 minutes)

Travel is an additional charge unless accessing services via telehealth.

Group education prices on application.

Fees will always be discussed before booking.

ACC-funded and private-pay clients are welcome. Telehealth fees are the same as in-person appointments.

Reports, referral letters, and clinical documentation are included where clinically appropriate. Quotes and invoices can be provided on request.

Appointments may be cancelled with 24 hours notice at no charge however a 50% fee is charged for late cancellations or failure to attend a booked session.

Cancellation Policy

• Appointments cancelled more than 24 hours before the scheduled time: no charge.

• Appointments cancelled within 24 hours: 50% fee.

• Failure to attend without notice: full appointment fee may be charged.

• Fees may be waived at clinician discretion in cases of illness or emergencies.
